I was an Alembic dealer from 1994 until 2008 back at my old shop and we stocked Orions continually. It was our favorite body shape of the set-neck built Alembics, perfectly balanced and aesthetically pleasing. This one is in excellent condition and features a nice piece of mahogany for the tone wood. Typically, these basses came stock with Bass and Treble controls, but we always preferred the tone filter option, so we always ordered our store stock Alembics that way. Alembics, depending on the model and electronics, can go for upwards of $8000 to $20,000, but Orions are Alembics that most players can afford.
