Alembic Series II 6st.
Alembic has been building world class, upper echelon basses for almost 50 years. They are the original exotic bass builder. This Series II includes a "Heart Omega" cutout, "Knobby" beveled peghead, and side LEDs. It was built originally with a twin 6st. for Phil Lesh, (he took delivery of the other one.) Building an instrument like this using their woodworking techniques is very difficult, painstaking, and time consuming. Additionally, all the parts on this bass, save for the strap buttons and tuning pegs, are proprietary and costly. This bass new had a retail price of over $30,000. It's essentially the same reason a Ferrari costs much more than a Prius. This bass is consigned, and as such, we are not taking trades.
