Product details

Built for and designed with bassist, Brad Houser, (Edie Brickell and New Bohemians, Critters Buggin', The Dead Kenny G's,) this Roscoe has some interesting elements. First, it's semi-hollow and the bass has a deeper, larger body as a result. This is why the upper horn was extended to accommodate the size and slightly weightier body. Next, it's passive. Roscoes are usually outfitted with an 18V Bartolini system. Note that the pickups are slanted, like the LG style basses, but reversed. Lastly, The string spacing was expanded to 19 mm. Keith Roscoe has built only one more instrument like this. It's one of the best, most mwah-iest fretlesses we've played. Today, because of the much greater amount of labor involved, the discounted price would be well over $5000.
