Used Sadowsky SA200 Stack
Not quite a Unicorn, but pretty close. One hundred SA200 amplifiers were built, as well as a number of SA210 and SA410 cabinets, which were designed by Jim Bergantino. Essentially, they're Bergantino HS210 and HS410 cabinets. This system, in addition to the amp and cab, includes a Korg Tuner, Furman Power Supply, all cables, and road cases. Bought new from my former store, Bass Northwest, it's a two owner system. It will remain intact and won't be split up. Also, although the shipping amount is listed, it will not be shipped. You will have to arrange for freight pick up and delivery. It will not be boxed up, but that's why it has road cases. If you're local, hurray! You can come in, buy it, and take it home. If you know what it is, you know what it is. Boutique tube awesomeness that few have seen. All in excellent condition with no carpet shred at all.
The SA200 was designed for the discriminating bass player looking for the ultimate in pure tone. The 200-watt integrated all-tube bass amplifier was three years in design and testing, with Sadowsky working in close collaboration with Dolf Koch, the highly respected Dutch guitar amplifier maker. Asked about his thinking, Sadowsky elaborated, "The SA200 is a return to quality and simplicity above all else. If you look at other categories like hi-fi, cars, etc., there's always a market for high end products geared to professionals and enthusiasts who want quality."
Capable of 210 watts output at 2, 4 or 8 ohms, the SA200 is equipped with six EL34, one 6N1P and two 12AX7 tubes. Power tube options include 6L6, 6550, KT66 and KT88s. Frequency range at -3dB is 10Hz to 40 kHz. Active EQ is provided for Top and Bottom, with Passive EQ for Bass, Mid and Treble. The SA200 includes an Effects Loop, DI with pre and post EQ switch, tuner out (with mute via footswitch), measures 17" (W) x 7" (H) x 10" (D) and weighs in at a light (for a tube amp) 42 lbs.
