Gibson 1960 EB-6
$7,999.00
Product details
Here's a rare one. Built in only 1960 and 1961 in response to the Fender Bass VI, this semi-hollow instrument was in production alongside the EB-2. Only 34 of these were built in 1960 and after 1961, Gibson started using the SG body shape. It has a single PAF humbucker, (see photo), a solid mahogany neck, and a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. At some point, the tuners were replaced, so the logo was taped off and the headstock got a blast of black spray paint to cover some of the screw holes that were filled. Everything else black lights out as original including the logo. As such, this example is priced a good bit less than others, if you can actually find one. Includes original hardshell case. Pretty killer bass for pushing 65 years old.
