Product details

Blumes® Jr MOSFET Mod Limited Edition Low Signal Shredder offers a fresh take on our original Blumes® Low Signal Shredder housed in a pedalboard-friendly junior sized enclosure. Like the original, this compact pedal offers tube-like overdrive with three distinct clipping voices, with a key distinction. The third clipping mode (labeled “M”) has been swapped with a new MOSFET clipping mode that produces a harmonically rich, focused overdrive with enhanced low end and a dynamic response similar to a modern high-gain tube amp.

MODE L:

Symmetrical LED clipping that utilizes a pair of light-emitting diodes. This is the crunchiest setting the Blumes has to offer. This signal is less compressed and way more open with tons of output for when you really want to go wild.

MODE N:

Clean, pure OpAmp gain boost mode. This eliminates the soft clipping diodes altogether and leaves you with straight up OpAmp drive. This will be the loudest output with the fullest frequency response, and can be used as a clean boost when the Gain control is set below 11 o’clock.

MODE M:

We’ve swapped out the asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement that was similar to what you’d find in a stock Screamer, and replaced it with a MOSFET clipping mode. This produces a commanding, open, and smooth overdrive that’s rich in harmonics and delivers an overdriven bite consistent with the sound of a cranked tube amp.

L: Symmetrical LED clipping - Crunchy, compressed, mid-focused, and articulate.

N: No clipping - Wide open OpAmp drive for clean boost.

M: MOSFET Mod clipping - Harmonically rich and focused with more low end that is dynamically similar to a modern high gain tube amp.

Level: This controls the output volume.

Gain: This controls the amount of drive.

Tone: More bass to the left, more middles in the middle and more treble to the right.
